For the longest time, whenever I ran the Tracert command in DOS on my home computer, I would only see a single hop in the returned results, which baffled me. I initially thought it was an issue with the ISP, so I never really dug into the root cause.

The problem lies in the router itself not parsing the Tracert packets. Some models of home routers, like certain TL series routers, do not parse Tracert packets, which is why you cannot see the intermediate hops.
Nevertheless, despite this limitation, some routers still have built-in Ping and Tracert functions. You can either run the command directly within the router interface or
