CNOP Relaunched — Migration & Upgrade Announcement

Dear fellow sysadmins, and new & returning users:

Hello everyone! After a period of preparation and development, CNOP (www.cnop.net) has been fully redesigned and is now officially live. This revision involves a platform migration, an infrastructure upgrade, and a UI rebuild at the same time. The key points are announced as follows.

1. What This Revision Covers

  1. Platform Migration: The site’s publishing engine has been fully migrated from the legacy EmpireCMS to WordPress. All articles, categories, and comments have been migrated in full, with no content loss.
  2. Theme Upgrade: A new custom theme (v2.0.0) is now active, adopting a three-column community layout — left vertical navigation + center content feed + right sidebar — offering higher information density and more efficient reading and search.
  3. Bilingual Support: The site now supports 中文 / English switching via the language toggle at the top-right. English content is being continuously expanded.
  4. Performance: Page loading, caching strategy, and image assets have been optimized. Mobile responsiveness has been completely reworked.

2. Potential Impact

  • During migration, the URL structure of some historical articles has changed. Redirect rules are in place to keep legacy links accessible; if you find any page that fails to open, please report it via the in-site feedback.
  • Comments and user accounts have been migrated. If you were previously registered, you can log in with your original account. Should any login issue occur, please contact us.
  • Some English pages and translations are still being refined; corrections are welcome.

3. Notes on This Upgrade

  • This is a platform-level migration + theme rebuild; no article content has been altered or removed — all existing technical articles and tutorials are fully retained.
  • More features (likes, bookmarks, community interaction, etc., with basics already in place) will be rolled out incrementally. Your feedback is welcome.
  • If you encounter any issues during browsing (404, layout glitches, login problems, etc.), please report them via the footer contact info or comments, and we will address them promptly.

4. Acknowledgements

Thank you to everyone who has long followed CNOP. This migration and upgrade aims to provide a more modern, stable, and international platform for sysadmin technical exchange. We will keep iterating — welcome to keep growing together with CNOP.

Enjoy the new site!
