TP-LINK Router Setup — Firewall Configuration
After getting online, users may want to grant different access permissions to computers on the internal LAN for various reasons. For example, many enterprises only allow access to certain websites, or only permit users to send and receive emails over the Internet, restricting some users while leaving others unrestricted. Some of these requirements can be achieved through the router, while others cannot. For instance, the router cannot fully implement IP address and MAC address binding.
The process of accessing the Internet is essentially the computer continuously sending request data packets. These packets contain many parameters, including source IP, destination IP, source port, destination port, and so on. The router controls the Internet access permissions of different users on the internal LAN precisely by restricting these parameters.
