Running “net start mysql” in DOS fails to start MySQL! Prompts System Error 5; Access is Denied!
Open the Services panel in My Computer, find the MySQL service entry, double-click it and switch to the “Log On” tab. Ensure the logon identity is set to the system account, as shown in the image below,
