A Detailed Introduction to Router Discovery Protocols

Discovery Protocol can use the Neighbor Discovery Protocol to discover adjacent routers and set them as its default gateway; nodes use the Neighbor Discovery Protocol to proactively track whether neighbors are reachable and to detect changes in neighbors’ data link layer addresses. When a router or the path to a router fails, hosts rely on this protocol to actively search …

Reasons Why You Can’t Find Your Wireless Router Signal

Anyone who uses a wireless network has encountered the problem of not being able to find the wireless router signal. I have also experienced this situation before — the laptop’s wireless network card could detect other people’s signals but couldn’t find my own router signal. The specific scenarios and solutions are as follows: 1. Try using another wireless network card to see if it can detect the router’s wireless signal, to confirm whether it is a router malfunction. 2. Some wireless network cards may not support channels 12 and 13; change the wireless signal channel to within 1 through 11 and check the signal. 3. When the wireless router is powered on, the wireless WLAN indicator light should be blinking continuously; log into the router’s management interface via wired connection to confirm whether the wireless function is enabled. 4. The ultimate solution — restore the wireless router to factory settings and then search again. 5. Adjust the position of the wireless router or wireless network card to avoid situations where the wireless network card is in the router’s signal blind spot. The issue of not being able to find your own router signal generally falls into the several scenarios I have described above. If you encounter the problem, try them all — one method is bound to work.

MP-BGP Route Information Maintenance Mechanism

As is well known, in an MPLS VPN network, all PE routers only maintain the IPv4 routing information required for directly connected VPNs. This characteristic is achieved by importing only specific VPN-IPv4 routes, which are related to the RT configuration in the VRF. However, this implementation approach creates a problem: on the PE router …
