It would be great if there were a good network admin who could plan the network properly. But if the landlord of a rental apartment is unwilling to spend money on a good router and doesn’t know how to manage the network themselves, it becomes a mess. Then the network in that rental unit becomes chaotic. Ultimately, you have to step in and solve the problem yourself. You ask how? Simple: crack the router’s admin username and password, gain control of the router, and kick out everyone who isn’t behaving. Or set speed and connection limits. Furthermore, binding all the computers’ MAC addresses on the LAN to the router in both directions can also prevent ARP-based internal network attacks.
