For different broadband access methods, router configuration approaches vary. Today, we’ll use the Xunjie (Fast) broadband router as an example to explain in detail the specific router configuration methods for different broadband access modes.
1. Router Configuration for ADSL
ADSL access is divided into ADSL MODEM and ADSL ROUTER. If you are using an ADSL ROUTER, you need to first change its Internet mode to RFC 1483 bridge, then connect it to the Xunjie router. Next, log into the router’s management interface, go through the setup wizard, select the ADSL virtual dial-up method, enter the broadband account and password provided by your ISP in the corresponding fields, and click Next.
