How to Check If Zend Optimizer Is Installed on a Server

Zend Optimizer mainly serves two functions:

1. It accelerates the execution of PHP scripts;

2. It can decrypt files encoded with Zend.

Therefore, in general, if your PHP scripts are not encoded, you don’t necessarily have to install Zend Optimizer.

Currently, our products containing encrypted files include: SupeSite, SupeV, and UCenter Home 1.0. Hence, if you need to install these products, you must successfully install Zend Optimizer when setting up the environment. For the forum, if you want to use Alipay or Qihoo Search, you also need to install Zend Optimizer. For the ECShop online store, if you need transcoding, the system also requires Zend Optimizer support.

Below is a detailed guide on how to check if your system supports Zend Optimizer:

1. First, create a phpinfo file with the following code:

Save the code as a PHP file, such as phpinfo.php, and then place the file in the root directory of your website.

2. Visit http://your-site-domain/phpinfo.php. If Zend Optimizer is installed, you should see a display similar to the image below:

 /

Notice the section highlighted in purple in the image is Zend Optimizer. This indicates you have correctly installed Zend Optimizer, rather than just Zend or another marker.

If your system does not support Zend Optimizer, you may encounter the following issues:

1. Products with encrypted files may show blank pages or other problems, resulting in unsuccessful installation.

2. Functions with encrypted files, such as Alipay and Qihoo Search, cannot be used.

3. The ECShop online store cannot perform transcoding.
